Vivekananda Retreat, Ridgely

NEW CLASS:
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is one of the foundational texts of Spiritual practice in India. Its subject is the practice of the eight limbs of yoga. One of these limbs, asana, was later expanded into the practice now known as hatha yoga.
The Yoga Sutras explain how to meditate and discuss the different transcendent states that are the goal of meditation. We will investigate the Sutras using many different commentaries. All who are interested in mind and meditation will benefit from the study of the Yoga Sutras. All are welcome.
The class is being given jointly by Pravrajikas Gitaprana and Shuddhatmaprana. Both women are resident swamis at Ridgely.

Class will meet on Thursday evenings, unless otherwise indicated on the calendar www.ridgely.org at 7:30 p.m.
The first class is on Thursday, March 20. There is no charge.
